It is difficult to put into words how amazing Iceland is from High Peaks to the modern city of Reykjavik. On this trip you will explore the breathtaking scenery and sights from geysers to volcanoes, high peaks to lava fields, hot springs to icebergs, some truly memorable experiences. You will ascend many peaks which start with the strato volcano Hekla 1491m and is Iceland's most active volcano and the view from the top is stunning and the journey continues with a glacial walk, hiking around Svartifoss Waterfall and a trek to the summit of Hvannadalshnukur 2110m Iceland's highest peak. You will go on to explore the Landmannalugar area and Pingvellir National Park before a relaxing finale in the great city and capital Reykjavik.
Accommodation is a mix of guesthouses, mountain huts and of course hotel in Reykjavik and you don't need any technical expertise for this trek just a good level of fitness. Please also note you can extend your stay in Reykjavik if you wish.
